Support &
compatibility.
Lumen is in development. These notes describe the current app. Release details and a support contact will be published before launch.
Camera formats and controls
RAW, Apple ProRAW, and exposure controls depend on your device and active lens. Lumen explains when a choice is unavailable. Aperture and shutter priority require a supported iOS 27 camera configuration. A fixed-aperture lens cannot change its physical aperture.
Film processing and export
Film processing currently supports up to 13 MP. Editor exports are limited to 4096 pixels on the long edge and to 13 MP with film processing enabled. The export sheet reports the output size. Larger RAW originals can be retained even when full-resolution film processing is unavailable.
Live film preview is approximate. Judge the finished result from the saved photograph.
Your photographs
Lumen keeps local originals and editing information. The save-output setting controls which files are added to Apple Photos. Deleting from Lumen does not remove copies from Photos, backups, or previous share destinations.
Camera permission is needed to capture photographs. Saving to Apple Photos requires permission to add images. The system photo picker lets you choose individual photographs to import.
Camera Control and locked capture
On supported devices, choose Lumen in the system's camera launch settings. The locked-camera extension takes JPEG photographs. Unlock and open Lumen to import them, then apply film looks or edit them in the main app.
Release availability
Lumen is not yet available on the App Store. There is no public download or TestFlight link at this time.
